Rooted in the Taoist philosophy of Yin and Yang, Taichi is an ancient practice that harmonizes self-cultivation, mental discipline, physical strengthening, and self-defense. By integrating body, mind, and breath, it guides practitioners toward holistic well-being and inner equilibrium. Following its inscription as a UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage, Taichi has gained renewed momentum and widespread popularity both in China and around the world.
To further promote Taichi culture and meet the growing public interest in structured learning, the School of Continuing Education at Beijing Language and Culture University is launching a Taichi training program open to all enthusiasts. Leveraging the University’s distinctive “mini-United Nations” multicultural environment and its expertise in cross-cultural communication, this program offers a unique opportunity to learn and practice Taichi on a campus steeped in Chinese cultural ambience. Participants will not only master the forms but also delve into the underlying principles of Taichi, experiencing a blend of traditional wisdom and modern practice in serene outdoor settings—truly achieving the dual nourishment of body and mind while walking alongside culture.
